Jayne has over 25 years’ experience of working in education in Birmingham. She is a specialist for Reading Intervention and Literacyhaving developed dependable, rapid impact, evidence-based programmes, replicable across schools, to raise the attainment of LPA, PP and SEND pupils entering Secondary School. Jayne has accumulated a wealth of experience, working in leadership and as a classroom practitioner, coach and consultant, across all phases and educational establishments, including Primary, Secondary, SEND and Pupil Referral UnitsShe is a dedicated professional with a passion for inspiring disadvantaged youngsters to attain beyond expectations. 

In her BEP role, Jayne recently lead on the Secondary ‘Closing the Gap’ programmes, developing and delivering CPD for leaders in education.  She continues to work with teachers across the city, delivering an intensive training and coaching programme for teachers of reading.  

In her role as Literacy Development Network Lead for Ark Schools, Jayne has seen an expansion of her consultancy and coaching role within Birmingham, as she embarks on the delivery of a twoyear training programme, targeting excellence within reading instruction and provisionnationally.
