John Blake drives and supports Ark’s stakeholder engagement and thought leadership on policy and political issues related to schools, education, and Ark’s wider social purpose.
He is a qualified teacher, and worked in the classroom for a decade, including in middle and senior leadership roles, and in roles across highly-successful multi-academy trusts.
He has also held the education brief for one of Britain’s most influential think tanks, and is a frequently published writer on education policy.
He has advised a wide variety of schools and other educational organisations as well as the Department for Education and the No 10 Policy Unit.
