Literacy Adviser, School Partnerships, National Literacy Trust

Fiona Oakley is the Literacy Adviser for School Partnerships at the National Literacy Trust, an independent charity dedicated to raising literacy levels in the UK.

Working in secondary education for over twenty years, Fiona is an experienced local authority adviser, literacy consultant, senior leader and teacher. She is also vice-chair of governors for a North London primary school. Fiona has huge expertise in the strategic planning of whole school literacy; the delivery of high quality, relevant and research-led literacy CPD; and the implementation of literacy initiatives in schools to raise attainment. She provides bespoke consultancy support for school leaders and teachers and is committed to a collaborative approach that prioritises supportive challenge, professional dialogue and excellent classroom pedagogy.
