Mark Gregory

Regional Director of Ark Birmingham Secondary Schools

Mark worked at Ark St Alban’s Academy for 10 years and was Principal from September 2015 until 2017 when he was appointed Executive Principal and Regional Director for Ark Birmingham Secondary Schools.

With 22 years teaching experience in Birmingham schools he is committed to transforming the life chances of the young people in his care, making sure that they can go to university, be happy there and live fulfilling lives that allow them to give back to the wider community. He has an NPQH and has led national initiatives in Birmingham, including the Black Pupil Attainment Pilot. At Ark St Alban’s he was part of the leadership team that transformed the academy, and led on culture and ethos, student attainment and teacher training before taking up his most recent post.

As regional director for Ark Schools, Mark has responsibility for 6 secondary schools in Birmingham and London and the Ark TSA. In addition, he has strategic responsibility for the development of teaching and learning across all 38 of the trust’s schools.
