Rosemary Campbell-Stephen’s book Educational Leadership and the Global Majority: Decolonising Narratives, is timely coming as it does when there is a global reckoning with race. Rosemary’s presentation will focus on the ethical responsibility that Birmingham Education has to address the systemic racism that is woven throughout the system. Her approach is principally through the decolonisation of hearts, and minds, before even considering the curriculum. While uncompromising and challenging, the call to action is one based on an invitation to collectively heal, reimagine and create a better space, for everyone.
Rosemary is a visiting fellow at the University College London.
