Alex Bedford

With over 27 years of experience in education as a teacher, headteacher and leading adviser for school improvement, Alex Bedford is incredibly proud to be the Curriculum Development Director for Unity Schools Partnership and its Research School.

Alex is the proud author of Pupil Book Study, published through John Catt Education. It’s an evidence-informed toolkit to help evaluate the endurance of learning throughout the curriculum.

He has also worked as an Associate Consultant for the Institute of Education, UCL. Alex’s curriculum writing and resources have been highly praised by Clare Sealy (Head of Curriculum and Standards for Guernsey) and his partnership with Lauren Meadows has ignited the education world, nationally and internationally.

His rule for school is simple: teach with excellence and never write anyone off.
